FAMILIES BELONG TOGETHER!
The Board of SDPA joins the APA in decrying the Trump Administration's new policy of separating immigrant parents and children who are detained while crossing the border. Psychological research clearly demonstrates the emotional stress to children separated from their parents and the role this trauma can play in the development of mental disorders long-term. The Board of SDPA calls for immediate change in this shockingly inhumane immigration policy.
