Our topic will be Trump and the Roles of Empathy and Narcissism in a Changing Culture:  In this discussion, we'll try to leave our politics at the door and talk respectfully and dispassionately about the state of narcissism and empathy in modern America. Does Trump have a pathology or is he simply a reflection of a changing American culture?  If society becomes more narcissistic, does narcissism become more normalized and nonpathologic?  If so, can empathy become maladaptive and pathologic?  Let's examine some of our own assumptions and biases with this controversial topic and learn from each others' ideas. Shawn Barnes, M.D. will be the presenter.
