Immigration waivers allow a non-citizen or foreign national to seek to have a ground of inadmissibility waived in order to be lawfully admitted to the United States. In order to do this, the applicant must file a waiver of inadmissibility. There are different types of waivers: some can be filed while the applicant is in the United States, while some others are filed as part of a consular process for filers abroad.
