The San Diego Psychological Association and the Center for Integrative Psychology program at the California School of Professional Psychology are co-sponsoring an end of the summer party on the charming patio of McDonald Hall at Alliant International University in Scripps Ranch. Join us for a warm summer night of socializing, refreshing beverages, delicious food, and a bit of competition.
The outline for the evening will be:
7pm-7:30pm Meet and Greet with appetizers and refreshments
7:30pm-7:40pm Introduction to the Trivia Tournament and Assignment of Teams
7:40-8pm First Half of Trivia
8pm-8:15 pm Halftime Break with Dessert
8:15pm-8:20pm Halftime Announcements
8:20 pm-8:50pm Second Half
8:50 pm-9pm Award Ceremony
Summer Social Features
Trivia Tournament: Tournament participants will be asked questions developed in a collaborative effort between sponsoring organizations. This process will be overseen by the SDPA Events Committee. We are welcoming submissions for potential items for this tournament, but we reserve the right to modify any submissions we receive. There is no requirement to participate in the trivia tournament to attend the summer social. We welcome all those with an interest in psychology to join. Each member of the winning team will go home with a trophy and a gift bag.
Streamlined Networking: Tell us about yourself at least three days before the social and we will add it to our slidedeck that will be played during the event. All individual attendees are welcome to submit their biosketch at no additional cost. This is a great way to share a biosketch, if you are hiring, or if you are looking for work.
Advertisement Opportunities for Organizations: Tell us about your organization and become a sponsor of this event to have your advertisement included in our slide deck, get your merchandise in the bags of the Trivia Tournament participants, or sponsor the award ceremony to pass out the trophies and gift bags to the winning team.
Parking details and accessibility: When you arrive at campus, you will drive up a hill. Once past the university gate, your second left turn will take you to a paved parking lot with an uphill ramp that leads to the venue. The third left turn will lead you to a dirt lot that is close to the venue without as much of an ascent or stairs.
