WHAT IS A PROFESSIONAL WILL AND WHY DO I NEED ONE
by Rochelle Perper, Ph.D.
This course details the relevant clinical, ethical, and legal considerations for the provision of advanced planning for psychologists. This course will include information about how to identify a professional executor, guidelines for notifying clients and discussion about creating a succession plan for a private practice business entity in compliance with the regulations of the California Board of Psychology. Participants will be provided with the professional will (2004) packet that was originally prepared by the San Diego Psychological Association and later adopted by the California Psychological Association as the “gold standard” template for professional will development.
The aim of this course is to equip participants with the beginnings of a practical tool that can be later implemented into practice following completion of the course.
