Adolescent Interpersonal Process Group I am currently running an in-person interpersonal process group for adolescent clients aged 14-18 at our Carlsbad location. The intention of the group is to provide a safe space for teens to discover that they are not alone, seek support from others, and to learn more about themselves on a deeper level. As it is a process group, there are no pre-established topics or skills that we will be going over. Instead, the open-ended group format allows teens to discuss current challenges, thoughts, or areas where they need support. Common topics that come up are friendship/relationship issues, family conflicts, and mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation. The group is open to new clients on an ongoing basis. There is 1 open spot (as of 8/29/25). It meets every Wednesday from 6:30-8 pm. Please visit https://coastaltherapygroup.com/group-belonging/ to learn more about the group and how to sign up or refer clients. I am a postdoctoral fellow under the clinical supervision of Reid Kessler, PsyD (Licensed Psychologist PSY29855). Contact Name: Julia Avila, PhD Expires 11/1/25 |
